                            (At 10 Weeks)

          How beautiful your tiny features are,

     Fine-boned and delicate as porcelain;

     As soft as silken threads your downy hair,

     A coronet of shining filigrane;

     How like an angel’s, in its innocence

     And pure serenity, your charming face!.

          You do not know what life’s experience

     With bring to you of sadness or of grace;

      For now it is enough that you should be

     Cradled in loving tenderness, your wants

     Supplied by a devoted family

     Who shelter you from fate’s malign mischance.

How fortunate young Amélie that, come what may

Throughout your life, you will be cherished night and day!.
