Reason and Imagination

I like sound reason. (Just imagine it!).
Cool logic, commonsense and practical
Utility, dealing in factual
Objective phenomena!.
Ag’in’ it
Set subjective, anarchistic feeling
Leaping from lairs in dark subconsciousness,
(Where untamed instincts prowl a wilderness
Of chaos), radically revealing,
Unpredictable.
Imagination’s
Effects unsettle the calm intellect
With irresponsibility, respect
Only vague noumenal intimations.
Yet reason often wreaks more havoc, in life’s course,
Than wild imagination’s raw, primæval force.
