Magpie
Fly, bold piebald bird, away from my home!.
You sharp-eyed thief of gaudy curios
And gossip of importunate discord,
Who bring misfortune on your two-toned plumes
And herald worse disasters yet to be;
There is not space enough, here, for we two
To jointly live in amity and trust,
Raising our families and fortunes high
To mutual advantage.
My fragile
Peace of mind is threatened by your raucous,
Most unwelcome arrival at my door.
Since I would keep my frail security
Intact, (but do not wish you any misery),
Fly now, bold piebald pica, from my property!.
