Pandora’s Box
Our love is like Pandora’s Box,
So I implore you not to pry
Too closely. Nor to force those locks
Which hold its secret from each eye.
Let’s guard it with devoted care
To keep its mystery from harm,
In true belief that we can share
The wonder of its hidden charm.
Remember all the the troubles, (loosed
Abroad throughout the world by her
Huge curiosity), which bruised
The hearts of those caught unaware?.
Whatever in the past was done
Which spoiled our love’s first special phase,
Let neither of us be the one
To lose our sole surviving grace.
Have faith!. I tell you that there is
But one thing in our Box’s scope:
And that’s our only future bliss;
Our lifelong happiness, our Hope!.
